Content management is where I got started in websites. Having built a basic content mangement system (CMS) in PHP for an New Zealand based broadcasting site I ran I think I've realised the folly of ever building your own.
I think the time has passed for new CMS systems. There are more than enough of them out there in the world at the moment and we are seeing a slow clearing out of CMS systems just as we previously saw many of those famous (and not so famous ) Operating Systems disappear.
